Due to copyright and trademark laws, we cannot legally reproduce licensed characters. However, we love creating custom, original designs inspired by the feeling or theme of your favorite stories! Whether that means a whimsical storybook woodland, a magical castle landscape, or a specific color palette that nods to your favorite superhero, we can capture the aesthetic you are dreaming of without infringing on copyrights.

The timeline depends heavily on the scope of the artwork. From your initial contact to the final design approval, the planning phase typically takes a few weeks. Once we arrive on-site, the actual painting phase can take anywhere from a single day for a simple interior accent wall to between one and four weeks for a massive exterior installation.

We are based in the Washington D.C. area, so there are no travel fees for local projects. However, we are also available to travel worldwide! For projects outside of our local area, travel expenses and logistics are calculated on a case-by-case basis.

For most interior residential projects, we simply ask that the area is cleared of furniture. If your interior wall needs minor patching or a base coat of primer, we can discuss adding that to the project scope during our consultation. For large-scale exterior projects, the surface must be aggressively cleaned to remove dirt and debris, and we use specialized, heavy-duty masonry primers to ensure the wall is fully prepped before painting begins.

For interior nurseries and residential spaces, we use high-quality, low-VOC or zero-VOC paints to ensure the air remains safe and free of harsh fumes for your family. For exterior murals, professional we exclusively use high-grade, 100% acrylic exterior paints and aerosols. Once the exterior mural is complete, it is sealed with a UV-resistant, clear isolation coat to prevent sun bleaching.

In addition to using weather-resistant paints and UV clear coats, an additional "sacrificial" anti-graffiti coating is applied in urban environments. This ensures that if tagging does occur, it can be power-washed off without damaging the underlying artwork.

Yes. Once we finalize the project scope and you are ready to move forward, we require a deposit to secure your installation dates on our calendar and officially begin the custom design phase. The remaining balance is typically due upon the final completion of the artwork.

Absolutely! If your lease doesn't allow for painting directly on the walls, we can paint your custom design on large-scale canvases or custom-built wood panels. This gives you the full impact of a breathtaking mural with the added flexibility of being able to take the artwork with you if you ever move!

Yes, we can! While a smooth surface allows for the crispest details, we are highly experienced in adapting our painting techniques for brick, stucco, cinderblock, and lightly textured drywall. During our on-site consultation, we will evaluate your wall's specific texture and discuss how it might interact with your desired design.

Absolutely. Your satisfaction is our top priority! Our design and presentation phase includes 2 built-in revision rounds. After our initial meeting, we will create a digital mockup or sketch of the artwork superimposed onto a photo of your wall. We welcome your feedback and will make adjustments to ensure the design perfectly matches your vision before a single drop of paint touches the surface.
